about us
Your Future.
Your Way.
YOUR TIME.
Our Mission
We believe all students deserve a path to success, no matter what barriers they’ve faced.
Our mission is to help you:
- Reengage in your education
- Gain meaningful job skills
- Build stability and well-being
- Feel connected to a caring community
A Different Kind of Education
Pathways to Success – Open Doors is a publicly funded school. In 2010, the Washington State Legislature passed HB 1418 enabling school districts to form Open Doors programs for young people ages 16–21 who have dropped out or are not on track to graduate.
This isn’t school the way you remember it. We focus on:
- Earning your GED
- Building job skills and experience
- Supporting your life goals—on your terms
You’ll get one-on-one support, real-world learning opportunities, and the chance to move forward at your own pace.
Why We Exist
Every year, students in our region leave high school—most because of challenges and barriers in their life outside of school.
Barriers Like:
- Homelessness or unstable housing
- Anxiety, depression, or trauma
- Family responsibilities
- Language barriers or immigration challenges
- Just feeling like school didn’t fit
We believe you deserve another path—and a team that walks with you.
Who Can Join?
You may be eligible if:
- You’re 16–21 years old
- You don’t have a high school diploma
- You’re not enrolled in a traditional high school
- You want a second chance to move forward
We’ll work with you to see if this program is a good fit.
